The Story
Ray is on a train with some other passengers and spots that in the murder mystery book someone is reading that the Butler did it. When his friend asks what he means he explains that th Butler poisoned Lord Hooray-Henry in the murder mystery book. The woman is not pleased and smacks him with the book.
Then, Ray spots a person asleep in a suitcase. He whispers to his friend that there's a boy locked in a suitcase. As Ray tries to explain his voice gets louder causing much concern in the carriage. He demands that someone arrests the owner of the suitcase, but it turns out it belongs to a ventriloquist, and the "boy" is a dummy.
Ray gets told not to poke his nose into other people's business. Then he spots the guard coming through the train, and warns the carriage, causing one man to run off down the train. When the guard gets to Ray, he discovers that Ray's ticket is for Wallyminster and Ray is on the wrong train!
The strip ends with Ray on a station platform and a station attendant asking what brings the famous X Ray Specs here. Ray replies, "Would you believe it was bad eyesight?"
