The Story
Tony was about to phone Penny from a phone box to see if she was coming out when she appears around a corner. Next moment Ivor appears, and Penny suggests he calls Milly. But Ivor refuses to use the phone box and summons his personal telephone.
Ivor presses number 2, and is connected to Milly, and he can see her through a video screen that's wheeled up by the servants. Ivor brags that they've got their own private video, telephone system with only the most important people connected to it.
Tony asks how it works and Ivor points out they have their own satellite beams, but Tony spots it moving. The reason is that they're having trouble finding the best spot for it. They have a second mast on the other side of town, and see through the video screen it's right in the middle of a street causing traffic chaos.
Tony asks if anyone else is connected to it, and Ivor says he'll surprise Pater. Pater however has been in the bath and without a servant in sight he's had to answer the phone himself, and of course can be seen on the video screen. The strip ends with Pater shouting from his house for Ivor to bring back his servants and get rid of this junk!
