The Buster Guy Fawkes Banger was released in November 1965 - a week after the Guy Fawkes Mask According to Peter Hansen who provided the image, all the comic companies had them at one point or another.

There's a Square of Card folded in half to give a triangle shap. Inside this triangle some stiff brown paper is glued so that when the card is opened up quickly, the paper makes a crack sound as it too is stretched.
