The Story

Tony & Penny are at the town hall watching the mayor and mayoress on the red carpet, imagining what it would be like to get that kind of special treatment. Suddenly, they noticed another roll of red carpet being rolled out, although this belongs to Ivor and Milly. They have decided they are so important they deserve to have a red carpet everywhere they go.

When it comes to time to cross the road, Ivor and Milly stop the roll of red carpet and change it for a zebra crossing carpet. Suddenly it starts to rain, Ivor and Milly summon a taxi to shelter in, which is carpeted inside before they get in. When the rain stops Ivor and Milly go browsing in the shops down the road getting a separate carpet each.

Tony asks about the carpet that's been walked on, and Ivor tells him it's no use to anyone because it's been walked on. This is overheard by a man, who asks if Ivor and Milly could take a look at his new house, which they do. Ivor gives it a thumbs down calling it a silly little house, but Tony points out the bloke isn't so silly as he's just carpted his entire house for nothing.

This fact is overheard by Pater who goes mad with Ivor for using a small fortune's worth of carpet.

Notes

The Cab's Numberplate is CAB1
The shops in the street are a Butcher, Camoflage Beauty Salon, A Chip Shop, a Bike Shop and Threads menswear
Despite the amount of carpet used in the strip the roll never seems to decrease.
