The Story

Chalky's walking past a poster advertising a missing monkey that has escaped from the circus. The posters have been stuck on every wall in town leaving nowhere for Chalky to Chalk. Soon he spots a painter sitting on a wall during a tea break and he decides to have some fun.

He chalks a tail on the wall so the painter now looks like the escaped monkey. Chalky hides behind a post box to see if anything happens. Within minutes a woman across the road has phoned the circus identifying the escaped monkey.

The men from the circus run down the road with a net, but they run right past the painter. We soon see the reason why is because the monkey is sitting on the postbox that Chalky is behind. The net goes over the postbox and Chalky is caught with the monkey.

Later, back at the circus the monkey is back in the cage with Chalky, above a sign that says "Two Little Monkeys"

Notes
